Day 1. Welcome to Costa Rica
On arrival at San Jose’s International airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel.
1 night accommodation in a superior room on B&B basis, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton San Jose-Airport – San Jose.
Day 2. San Jose – Tortuguero National Park
After breakfast, you will be collected at your hotel and transferred to Matina’s dock, where you will be transferred by boat to Tortuguero National Park. Total door-to-door travelling distance: 5 hours approx.

Day 3. Tortuguero National Park
Full day at Tortuguero. Entrance fee to Tortuguero National Park not included $10.00 per person. Two daily boat excursions exploring the ecological wonder of this mangrove and jungle paradise with English speaking guide are included.
Day 4. Tortuguero National Park – Arenal Volcano
Morning boat transfer back to Matina’s dock. On arrival, you will collect your hire car (Suzuki Jimny Standard 4×4). Your self-drive adventure will begin from this point. Drive to the town of La Fortuna (approx. 3 hours drive).
2 nights accommodation in a Junior Suite on B&B basis at Arenal Springs Resort & Spa – Arenal.
Day 5. Arenal Volcano
Chill in the morning and in the afternoon, consider a horseback ride to La Fortuna waterfalls.
In the evening, dinner and Spa experience at the Tabacon Hot springs with spectacular night views over the Arenal volcano, the most active volcano in Costa Rica which constantly rumbles and spit lava and smoke.
Day 6. Arenal Volcano – Tambor, Golfo de Nicoya
Drive 113kms from La Fortuna to Puntarenas and take the ferry to Paquera. On arrival, driver another 30kms to the beautiful little village of Tambor at Nicoya Gulf.

Days 7-8. Tambor – Isla Tortuga National Park
Two full days relaxing at the secluded beaches of Tambor and exploring the beautiful surroundings. We strongly recommend a day trip to the dreamy white beaches of Tortuga Island National Park.
Day 9. Tambor (Nicoya Gulf) to Manuel Antonio
Take a 45minute drive to Paquera and take a 2-hour ferry ride back to Puntarenas. From there, it will take you 2 more hours to get to Manuel Antonio National Park via Jaco and Quepos.
3 nights accommodation in a garden room on B&B basis at Parador Resort & Spa – Manuel Antonio NP
Days 10-11. Manuel Antonio Beach National Park
Two full days to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park.
Day 12. Manuel Antonio National Park – San Jose
Drive 120 kms back to San Jose and drop car off at the hotel.
1 night accommodation in a superior room on B&B basis, Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura – San Jose
Day 13: Last day
Shuttle transfer back to San Jose’s International airport. End of itinerary. Pura Vida!
