Enjoy an authentic Thai train experience

Meet your driver at your hotel lobby in the late afternoon for your private transfer to Bangkok's train station.

Overnight direct train journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai: an epic train journey that will depart from Bangkok and will arrive in Chiang Mai the following day, early morning.

The train itself is a local train used by Thai locals and tourists and provides an authentic experience travelling North. When leaving Bangkok you will be travelling during the night. There is a train carriage that is a bar where you can have a drink in the evening and they do serve breakfast the following morning. Wake up at sunrise and admire the beautiful mountains and valleys from your train window.

First class cabins are simple and private with two single beds and a basin.

Second class seats do convert into flat beds and the train staff will provide you with fresh linen and pillows before bed time. All seats have privacy curtains.

Travel to Thailand's highest peak at Doi Inthanon National Park and do not forget to bring your warm jacket because it can be very cold while experiencing this optional day trip. Today you will be walking along the famous hiking trails of Kew Mae Pan (between November and May months) or Pha Dok Siew (between June and October months). Visit Wachirithan Waterfalls, The King and Queen Chedi's and then on to the peak of Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. There are both Karen and Hmong villages in the bounds of Doi Inthanon and we will see those at the local market on the way down the mountain before making our way back to Chiang Mai.
