Greece tailor made holidays

All About Tailor made Travel ATOL licence
Greece is a country that offers not just spectacular beaches and islands but plenty of culture and history. Escape to and idyllic Greek island on a romantic break. Whether Santorini, Mykonos, Lesbos, Crete or Corfu, the choice is yours. Combine your beach holiday with a few days in Athens, definitely worth a stop over.

Daily frequent flights operate between the U.K. and Greece. With a flight duration of just under three hours, travelling to Greece is very very easy and affordable.

Best places to visit in Greece

  • Athens, do not miss the imposing white columns of the Parthenon and the quaint district of Plaka.
  • Spectacular sunsets from Oia village at the Northern part of Santorini Island.
  • Visit the monasteries of Meteora on the plain of Thessaly.
  • Corfu, a bohemian island with romantic small beaches, lovely Tavernas and beautiful mountain villages. Corfu town deserves a full day to explore and Paleokastritsa (West Coast of Corfu Island) is our favourite part of the island to stay.

Best time to visit Greece

The best weather can be found between April to June (spring months) and September. Temperatures are as warm as Maldives, but not too hot. July and August are summer months very popular for families travelling with children. Flight prices are higher during this peak period and hotel rates as well. Temperatures are around 30-35C depending on which part of Greece you visit.

Top things to see & do while visiting Greece

  • Hire a 4×4 and explore Corfu Island.
  • Hire a motor boat for the day in your preferred Greek island with prices starting from £45 per boat.
  • Monasteries, mountain villages and secluded secret beaches. Best way to discover these when visiting a Greek Island is by hiring a small jeep for a day or two. Prices start from £50 per day, insurance included.
  • Hop a ferry in Piraeus and cruise between countless Greek islands, each with their own distinctive character and attractions.
  • Settle in at harbour side restaurant or village taverna and dine on what is surely the world’s most underrated cuisine.
  • Keep an eye out for centaurs, satyrs or stray Greek gods as you trek up Mount Olympus.
  • Wander the mountain hamlets of the Zagorohoria and trek the Vikos gorge.
  • Greek Easter in Corfu: priests in glorious vestments, candlelight midnight church services, sweet breads, coloured eggs.
  • The Knights Quarter and Turkish relics of Rhodes’ walled Old Town.
