Mexico tailor made holidays

All About Tailor made Travel ATOL licence

Mexico can be compared to food: varied, colourful, spicy, over commercialised, fresh and often underappreciated. Plunged yourselves deep into this amazing nation that varies from arid to verdant and you will find an intoxicating cultural mix of Europe, indigenous America and lost civilisations. Colours and life have a vibrancy here as seen in the heaving markets, the people filled public squares and an often flamboyant love of life.

City or Cancun with British Airways or AeroMexico from £595 return. U.K. regional departures also available with alternative airlines.

Best places to visit in Mexico

  • Mexico’s City. Vibrant, fun and relatively safe if you are visiting, like most big cosmopolitan cities around the world.
  • Cancun and the beaches of the Mayan Riviera. An idyllic place to just relax and have lots of fun!
  • Yucatan Peninsula is full of charm. Chichen Itza, Merida, Valladolid …
  • Cabo San Lucas, a famous spot for the big celebrities. Exclusive beach resorts, great golf too.
  • Copper Canyon, definitely worth visiting if you are planning a multi centre trip to Mexico.
  • Guanajuato, a UNESCO World Heritage town. Colonial charm everywhere you look.
  • Cozumel Island, if you are after a diving holiday adventure in Mexico.
  • Oaxaca, a taste of real Mexico.

Best time to visit Mexico

December to May are warm and dry months with hardly any rain. You can expect more humidity and some rain from June to October.

  • Hurricane season in the Caribbean and on the Cancun / Mayan Riviera side runs also from June to October but the weather and water temperature in the ocean remains warm all year round.

Top things to see & do while visiting Mexico

    • A city even bigger in many ways than its already enormous size: Mexico City.
    • Visit Frida Kahlo’s former home, now a vibrant and colourful museum, just outside Mexico City.
    • Mayan temples rising above impenetrable deep green jungle at Palenque.
    • The stately old world charms of colonial Oaxaca.
    • The vast sinuous abyss of Copper Canyon.
    • Classy beach resort charms at Playa del Carmen.
    • Go on the ultimate road trip down Baja’s endless coast and forbidding interior.
    • Visit Chichen Itza and learn about the origin of the calendar.
    • Tulum ocean front Mayan Ruins and a swim in the cold waters of a cenote are both some of the best experiences while on holiday in Mexico.
    • Coba Mayan Ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula. Here you can climb a Mayan pyramid but remember, going up is easy. Coming down is very difficult so think before you climb.
