Santiago de Chile: Private half day city tour
Santiago de Chile combines the charm of colonial heritage with the vibrant energy of a modern metropolis.
On a private city tour, you’ll experience this fascinating contrast up close. In the historic centre, you’ll visit the presidential palace “La Moneda,” the Plaza de Armas with its impressive cathedral, the old post office, the National Historical Museum, and the “Casa Colorada,” once the residence of the Spanish governor.
The tour continues past Cerro San Cristóbal, a hill crowned by a statue of the Virgin Mary watching over the city.
Finally, you’ll explore the modern face of Santiago: the Providencia and Las Condes districts, characterized by sleek glass towers, stylish restaurants, and elegant shopping streets – all with a distinctly European flair. A striking contrast to the colonial heart of the city.
Santiago de Chile: Day visit to Santa Rita Winery
During Chile’s struggle for independence, national hero Bernardo O’Higgins and 120 of his soldiers narrowly escaped capture by Spanish troops. Their salvation came thanks to the courage of the estate’s owner at the time, Doña Paula Jaraquemada, who hid them on her property, enabling the fight for independence to continue. In tribute to her bravery, the winery’s restaurant bears her name, “Doña Paula,” and the historic site has since been declared a national monument.
Naturally, visitors can sample Santa Rita’s renowned “120” wines, named in honour of the soldiers who fought alongside O’Higgins. The estate is also home to the Andean Museum (closed on Mondays, with free admission), which houses an exceptional collection of pre- and post-Columbian indigenous artefacts. The exhibits offer fascinating insights into ancient cultures that have long since disappeared, including remarkable pieces of Inca gold and finely crafted Mapuche silver.
Classic Wine Tour at Viña Santa Rita with a shared tasting of three wines.
This guided visit to the Santa Rita Winery offers an insightful introduction to Chilean winemaking. You will learn about the main grape varieties and their distinctive flavour profiles, as well as the entire production process — from the grape harvest and ageing in oak barrels to the final bottling stage. The tour includes a visit to the historic wine cellar, built in 1880 by French architects and now recognised as a national monument. The experience concludes with a tasting of three selected wines. As a keepsake, guests receive a branded Viña Santa Rita wine glass.
Santiago - Atacama Desert - Moon Valley
- Santiago - Calama ( aeropuerto El Loa ), Latam Airlines (+/- 2 hour flight duration).
Private transfer on arrival from Calama Airport to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
Private half-day excursion to the Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna).
One of the most iconic landscapes between Calama and San Pedro de Atacama is the dramatic Valle de la Luna. This excursion sets off in the late afternoon, when the desert begins to transform under the fading light. Framed by the Licancabur Volcano, the valley’s extraordinary salt crusts and sculpted rock formations create an otherworldly, lunar-like scenery. The route takes you past remarkable natural formations, including the striking “Tres Marías,” before reaching the famous Coyote Rock (Piedra del Coyote). From this viewpoint, you’ll enjoy sweeping vistas over the Kari Canyon and vast stretches of the Atacama Desert, with occasional views towards the Salar de Atacama. As the sun sets, the landscape is illuminated by ever-changing colours, offering a truly unforgettable spectacle. The return journey to San Pedro takes place after sunset.
- 3 nights Turi room at Hotel Desértica, San Pedro de Atacama.
Atacama Desert
This full-day experience takes you to some of the most remarkable natural and cultural highlights of the Atacama Desert. You will explore the vast, snow-white expanse of the Salar de Atacama, an immense salt flat covering approximately 3,000 square kilometres and stretching to the horizon. In addition to hosting the world’s largest lithium reserves, the salt flat is an important wildlife habitat. At Chaxa Lagoon, part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve, you may spot Andean, Chilean and James’s flamingos feeding in the shallow saline waters.
En route, you will visit the small oasis village of Toconao, known for its lush central square and striking tall cacti, offering a pleasant contrast to the surrounding desert landscape.
The excursion continues to Laguna Cejar, a compact salt lagoon located around 30 kilometres north of San Pedro de Atacama. Set against a dramatic desert backdrop, the lagoon’s deep turquoise waters are edged with a brilliant white salt crust. Thanks to the high salt concentration, swimming here allows you to float effortlessly while taking in sweeping views of the Licancabur Volcano and the surrounding desert. In some areas, naturally warm springs make the water especially comfortable. After time to bathe (optional), enjoy a walk around the lagoon, where various bird species can be observed and, with some luck, flamingos may also be seen. The day concludes with the return journey to San Pedro de Atacama.
Atacama Desert
To experience El Tatio at its most spectacular, an early start is required, with departure from San Pedro de Atacama in the pre-dawn hours. This allows arrival at the geyser field at sunrise, when the geothermal activity is at its peak. Located at an altitude of over 4,300 metres, the geysers send powerful jets of steam and hot water soaring up to 10 metres into the air. As the first light of day appears, the sun’s rays interact with the rising steam, creating a dramatic display of colours against the stark high-altitude landscape and surrounding mountain peaks. After time to explore the geyser field, the return journey to San Pedro takes place around midday.
Atacama - Puerto Varas, Chile's Lake District
- Calama - Puerto Montt via Santiago, Latam Airlines (+/- 5 hour total flight duration including stop over).
Private transfer from the airport in Puerto Montt to the hotel in Puerto Varas.
- 3 nights Junior Suite at Hotel Solace, Puerto Varas.
Lake District: Visit Petrohué Waterfalls and Osorno Volcano.
After breakfast, depart for a full-day exploration of the stunning landscapes surrounding Puerto Varas. The scenic drive follows the shores of Lake Llanquihue, offering beautiful views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes along the way.
The first stop is at the impressive Saltos del Petrohué, a series of powerful rapids and waterfalls cascading over dramatic volcanic lava formations. Over thousands of years, the rushing waters of the Petrohué River have carved and shaped these basalt rocks, creating a striking natural spectacle.
The journey then continues towards Osorno Volcano, which rises to 2,660 metres. The ascent by road reaches an altitude of approximately 1,200 metres, where a mountain lodge marks the end of the route. From here, breathtaking panoramas unfold, encompassing the snow-capped Osorno volcano, neighbouring peaks such as Calbuco, Antillanca and Tronador, and the deep blue waters of Lake Llanquihue. A walk across the volcano’s vast lava fields allows you to take in ever-expanding views as you gain elevation. In favourable weather conditions, an optional chairlift ride offers an alternative way to admire the dramatic landscape. The return to Puerto Varas takes place in the afternoon.
Lake District: Visit Castro and Dalcahue
This day trip begins early in the morning, setting off south, towards Pargua, where the car ferry crosses to Chiloé – an island full of myths, legends and very special people.
After your arrival on the island you will first go to Castro, the island’s capital, where you will visit the Plaza de Armas and its cathedral painted in daring lilac and orange. The island’s largest craft market can also be visited near the harbour. Castro is famous for its ‘palafitos’, houses raised on stilts above the water. There are various reasons for their existence, but the most compelling is perhaps the simple fact that early inhabitants sought to evade taxes by building over the water. After all, the ocean has always belonged to everyone!
Afterwards you will continue to the fishing village of Dalcahue, where there is time for a stroll. Traders on the Sunday market offer native craftwork to the visitors, while the locals (Chilotes) shop their fruit and vegetables next door. Dalcahue is the regional centre for many smaller islands and fishing villages along the coast and provides good insight into the traditional way of life on Chiloé. It has photogenic clapboard houses and colourful fishing boats that bring in fresh catches of crab.
The return journey to Puerto Varas is in the late afternoon.

- Puerto Montt - Puerto Natales, Sky Airlines (+/- 2 hour flight duration).
Private transfer from the airport in Puerto Natales to Puerto Natales.

The tour showcases spectacular views of the jagged peaks of the Cuernos and Torres Massifs, as well as the turquoise waters of Lake Grey. Several short walks allow you to reach the park’s most breathtaking viewpoints and discover the rich diversity of local flora and fauna. The day concludes with a scenic drive back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Chile's Patagonia, trip to the Glaciers
This full-day seaborne adventure departs from and returns to Puerto Natales, taking you to two of Patagonia’s icy marvels: the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers. Setting off early in the morning, you will cruise north-west through the stunning Seno Última Esperanza (‘Last Hope Sound’), a channel framed by snow-capped peaks, cascading waterfalls, and verdant forests, where wildlife such as sea lions, cormorants, and condors may be spotted.
By midday, the expedition reaches the glaciers, both descending from Monte Balmaceda toward the sea. At the base of Serrano Glacier, you will disembark for a short walk to a viewpoint offering an extraordinary perspective of the vast river of ice. The journey continues by boat to a delightful lunch at the remote Estancia Perales. The day concludes with a scenic cruise back along the Seno Última Esperanza, arriving in Puerto Natales in the late afternoon.

Visitors can explore the glacier from a series of secure, well-marked walkways, offering multiple vantage points to admire its grandeur.
