All About Tailor Made Travel plans bespoke and multi-centre holidays to more than thirty destinations across nine regions, from the Indian Ocean to the Canadian Rockies. Every itinerary is built around you rather than sold off a shelf — your choice of hotels, your pace, your combination of countries — and every booking is ATOL protected under licence 10510. We have been arranging holidays this way from our London office since 2010.
Most people arrive here with either a country in mind or a feeling: somewhere warm in February, two weeks that mix a city with a beach, a honeymoon that isn’t just one resort for ten nights. Both are a good place to start. Browse by region below, or tell us the feeling and we will suggest the countries.
The trips we are asked for most are multi-centre — two or three destinations in one holiday, flown and transferred as a single ATOL-protected booking. Sri Lanka with the Maldives, New York with Las Vegas and Cancún, Japan with a week in the Indian Ocean. The appeal is simple: you see somewhere properly and then you rest, and the flight routing usually makes the second stop cost far less than a separate holiday would.
Nothing on this site is a fixed departure. Every itinerary shown is a starting point — change the hotels, add or remove nights, fly from your regional airport, move the order of the stops. You speak to the same consultant from your first enquiry to your ATOL certificate, and there is no call centre in between.
Indian Ocean
The classic second half of a multi-centre holiday, and the reason so many of our itineraries end on a beach. Overwater villas in the Maldives, the granite coastline and island-hopping of the Seychelles, and Mauritius for families who want a resort with something to do. All three pair naturally with Sri Lanka, Dubai or a longer trip through Asia.
Destinations: Maldives · Seychelles · Mauritius
Asia
Our deepest region, and where most of our multi-centre planning happens. Sri Lanka for tea country, safari and Buddhist sites in one compact island. Japan for a first-time route through Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima. Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia for combinations of city, hill country and coast, and Bhutan and Nepal for something genuinely remote.
Destinations: Sri Lanka · Japan · Thailand · Vietnam · Malaysia · Indonesia · Bhutan and Nepal
North America
Long-haul multi-centre at its most straightforward, because the internal flights are cheap and frequent. Three cities and a beach across the USA and Mexico is our best-selling American holiday. Canada is mostly self-drive — the Rockies from Calgary to Vancouver, or British Columbia at a slower pace.
Destinations: USA · Canada · Mexico
Caribbean
Winter sun with a short enough flight to justify a week, and the natural partner to a few nights in Florida or New York. The Caribbean Islands cover the all-inclusive end, and Cuba the opposite — Havana, Viñales and a coastline that still feels unhurried.
Destinations: Caribbean Islands · Cuba
Middle East
Dubai is the most useful stopover in travel: three or four nights on the way to Asia, Africa or Australia at little extra cost, and a genuinely good short break in its own right. Jordan is the other kind of trip entirely — Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea in under a week.
Destinations: UAE & Dubai · Jordan
Africa
Safari combined with coast, which is the pairing that made multi-centre travel popular in the first place. Kenya, Tanzania & Zanzibar is the classic. South Africa adds the Garden Route and the Winelands, Namibia the desert, Rwanda the gorillas, and Morocco a short-haul introduction to all of it.
Destinations: Kenya, Tanzania & Zanzibar · South Africa · Namibia · Rwanda · Morocco
Australia & the Pacific
The longest trips we plan and the ones that benefit most from being broken up. Australia and New Zealand work well combined, usually with a stopover in Dubai or Asia on the way. French Polynesia and Hawaii are the Pacific end — overwater villas and volcanoes rather than another beach resort.
Destinations: Australia · New Zealand · French Polynesia · Hawaii
South & Central America
Long-haul, and almost always better as a multi-centre trip than a single stop. Costa Rica and Panama for rainforest and two coastlines in a fortnight, Ecuador for the Galápagos, and South America for the bigger routes through Peru, Argentina and Patagonia.
Destinations: Costa Rica & Panama · Ecuador · South America
Europe
Shorter, and the region where a well-chosen hotel matters more than the itinerary. Greece for the islands, Spain for city-and-coast combinations, and Iceland for a three or four-night break that feels much further from home than it is.
Destinations: Greece · Spain · Iceland
How we plan your holiday
1. Tell us roughly what you want
A destination, a month, a rough budget, and how many of you are travelling. If you only have two of those four, that is enough to start.
2. We send you a costed itinerary
Usually the same day, and always from the consultant who will handle your booking. It comes with the flights, the hotels, the transfers and the total price for your party — not a “from” price.
3. You change whatever you like
Different hotel, an extra two nights, a regional departure, a different order of stops. Most itineraries go through two or three versions before anyone pays anything.
4. You book, and we look after it
A £150 per person deposit secures it, your ATOL certificate arrives straight away, the price is then fixed with no surcharges, and we are reachable seven days a week until you are home.
Holiday destinations: frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book a tailor-made holiday?
Nine to twelve months ahead for peak travel — school holidays, Christmas, and honeymoons in the Indian Ocean, where the best villas sell out first. Four to six months is comfortable for most other trips. We take bookings much later than that, but the choice of hotels narrows and flight prices rarely improve.
Can I fly from an airport outside London?
Yes. Most of our itineraries are priced from London because that is where the direct flights usually are, but we book regional departures from Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh and elsewhere every week. Sometimes it costs a little more, sometimes it costs less. Ask and we will price both.
Do you arrange holidays to destinations not listed on this page?
Yes. The pages here cover the countries we are asked for most often, but we book worldwide and have arranged trips to plenty of places that never made it onto the site. If you have somewhere in mind that is not listed, ask — the answer is almost always that we can.
Which destination suits a first long-haul trip?
For a first long-haul holiday we usually suggest Sri Lanka, Thailand or the USA, because the flights are direct or one stop, English is widely spoken and the infrastructure is straightforward. Dubai is the other easy answer at seven hours, and it works as a short break or as a stopover on the way somewhere further.
Is my holiday ATOL protected?
Yes. Every holiday we sell that includes a flight is protected under our own ATOL licence, number 10510, and your ATOL certificate is issued as soon as you pay your deposit. That means your money is protected before you travel and you will be brought home if anything happens to us while you are away.
